The Taneytown Dance Center's Master Class Program offers our dancers a wealth of opportunities to observe, study, and even train with professional Masters in dance technique and choreography. Through the Master Class Program, we have welcomed professional guest dancers and choreographers into our studio for intense Master Class sessions. We have also attended special Master performances and events.
Our Workshop Series provides a variety of offerings in the performing arts. Our Workshops are short sessions of focused exposure, provided by experienced experts in their field of focus.
INTENSIVE 1 DAY HIP-HOP MASTER CLASS with Pat-y-O
Last year we had a "jammin" time with Master Hip Hop teacher and choreographer, Pat-y-O! Students from the studio and as far as Howard County joined us for this fun-packed, energetic, and upbeat two day workshop.
Pat-y-O will bring fresh choreography this year in an intense one day programn. He will work with students on their technique, hip hop style and providethe latest choreography and direction. Don't forget your water bottles and a towel - it will be quite a work-out!

PAT-Y-O (PATRICK OTERO) - has established an excellent reputation as one of the finest choreographers and dance instructors around the country. He has been featured in professional dance magazines including Dance Spirit, Dancer Magazine, and Dance Teacher Magazine. He is currently titled Master Hip-Hop Instructor with numerous dance conventions, including a headline as the Dance Teacher / Dance Spirit Convention in Manhattan, NY and the MasterCard Alamo Bowl. Pat-y-O has choreographed half-time shows for the Atlanta Hawks, San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks and for movies and videos, including Keys to Tulsa, Hip-Hop You Don’t Stop, and Off Da Hook. He has also choreographed promotional events for the Hard Rock Café, GM, Ford, and Swatch Watch Apparel. |
