SUMMER CLASS PRICING:

MULTI-CLASS DISCOUNT
Enrolling a student in more than one class?  Enrolling more than one student in your immediate family? We provide a multi-class discount of 5% on all classes when enrolling in 2 classes and a discount of 10% when enrolling for 3 or more classes!

As stated on the registration form, a non-refundanble recital fee is due for each class for which a student will perform in the Spring Recital.  Recital Fees will include a Costume Fee and Tights Fee, as follows:  Costume Fee: $72.00 and Tights:  $10.00

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Teeny Tiny Ballet (ages 18 months - 36 months):
This class consists of specially developed and engaging movements and interactive movement-based play with your young toddler.

Tiny Tots (36 months + Ballet / Tap Combo):
In this class, the young toddler begins learning the fundamentals of dance. We will work on body awareness, coordination, space, rhythm and basic movement that will later be the foundations for all dance types. We will use songs and movement that will have the children do creative movements as well as begin to learn the basic dance vocabulary.

Intro to Foundations of Dance (Ballet / Tap Combo):
Older toddlers will be learn basic ballet and tap principles through creative exploration.  Children will continue to build an understanding of basic dance movements and vocabulary.  Students will work on developing coordination, strength, balance, and body awareness all while having fun!

Ballet & Ballet Stories:
This class encourages our toddler-aged students to exercise their young imaginations while learning basic ballet movements and terminology.

Ballet I:
Young beginners will explore developing ballet principles, improving coordination, strength, balance, and body awareness. Ballet consists of barre, center, across the floor, and combinations in both adagio and allegro (slow and quick) movements, all of which stress proper body alignment, flexibility and muscular control.

Foundations of Dance I:
Students will explore developing ballet and tap principles, including movements and vocabulary.  Students will continue developing coordination, strength, balance, and body awareness. Ballet consists of barre, center, across the floor, and combinations in both adagio and allegro (slow and quick) movements, all which stress proper body alignment, flexibility and muscular control. In tap, students will learn tap terminology and apply rhythm and timing to tap combinations.

Intro to Modern:
Get moving with an introduction to this diverse and creative approach to dance. Learn the fundamentals of modern dance techniques while exploring the creative aspects of dance and composition. Enjoy free movement and the opportunity to discover your own movement vocabulary.

Intro to Hip Hop:
This class is the young student's introduction to hip hop dance.  This upbeat class begins with center warm-up and stretches and moves to combinations both across the floor and in the center. Moving to upbeat music, students will develop flexibility, strength, and coordination.

Intro to Tap:
This fun class introduces young dancers to jazz style tap.  The class will begin with a basic upbeat jazz warm-up, stretches and jazz combinations, and then we will move into tap shoes and learn the fundamentals and rhythms in tap combinations with a jazzier style.

Ballet II & III:
Intermediate dancers will progress in their understanding of ballet principles, continuing to develop coordination, strength, balance, and body awareness. Ballet consists of barre, center, across the floor, and combinations in both adagio and allegro (slow and quick) movements, all which stress proper body alignment, flexibility and muscular control.

Modern I & II:
The intermediate student explores the diverse and creative approach to dance that is modern dance. Students learn intermediate modern dance techniques while further exploring the creative aspects of dance and composition.

Tap I & II:
Designed for intermediate dancers, this fun class will begin with a basic upbeat jazz warm-up, stretches and jazz combinations, and then move into tap shoes, learning the fundamentals and rhythms in tap combinations with a jazzier style.

Hip Hop I & II:
Intermediate students begin this popular class with center warm-up and stretches and move to combinations both across the floor and in the center. Moving to upbeat music, students will develop flexibility, strength, and coordination.

Advanced Ballet Technique I &II:
These classes are for the intermediate to advanced, serious minded ballet dancer. The class will spend extra time working on the specific execution of ballet exercises. It will be a very intense class so please be sure your dancer is prepared for the training involved. This class is a pre-requisite for any young student wishing to one day be a part of Taneytown Dance Factory. (participation in this class does not guarantee a position in the Dance Factory) *

Ballet IV & V:
Advanced ballet students will continue to progress with a focus on advancing technique and form. 

Modern III, IV & V:
Intermediate and advanced dancers will continue in their exploration of this diverse and creative approach to dance. Students progress in their understanding of more advanced modern dance techniques and an exploration of the creative aspects of dance and composition.

Tap III & IV:
This fun class will engage intermediate and advanced students with a basic upbeat jazz warm-ups, stretches and jazz combinations, and training in rhythms and tap combinations with a jazzier style.

Hip Hop III:
Teens and intermediate and advanced students will enjoy learning more popular dance techniques in this class. Moving to upbeat music, students will further develop flexibility, strength, and coordination.

Advanced Ballet Technique III:
This class is designed for the serious and dedicated ballet dancer. The class will spend additional time working on specific ballet technique and will require intense focus and dedicated training.  This class is a pre-requisite for any young student wishing to one day be a part of Taneytown Dance Factory. This does not guarantee a position in Taneytown Dance Factory, but students must have taken this class (if in the age range to do so) to be considered. *

Adult Workout:
This is a "for fun" class for adults. We stretch and move using the principles of ballet, modern dance, Pilates, and Yoga. It is a very laid-back, relaxing class for everyone who just wants a little exercise and fun.

Bootcamp for Boys (with Tap Option):
Get your son off that couch. Do you want your son to use all that energy he has? This class will do it. This class is a mixture of creative movement, calisthenics, stretches, conditioning exercises, drills and relays to gain strength, agility and flexibility. No more video games or TV. Tap is optional - please see me.

* Enrollment in these classes requires prior Directrice approval.  Prerequisites may include specific age limitations, experience requirements, and / or company involvement.
