This class consists of specially developed and engaging movements and interactive movement-based play with your young toddler.
In this class, the young toddler begins learning the fundamentals of dance. We will work on body awareness, coordination, space, rhythm and basic movement that will later be the foundations for all dance types. We will use songs and movement that will have the children do creative movements as well as begin to learn the basic dance vocabulary.
Older toddlers will be learn basic ballet and tap principles through creative exploration. Children will continue to build an understanding of basic dance movements and vocabulary. Students will work on developing coordination, strength, balance, and body awareness all while having fun!

Pointe classes are available only by approval of the Directrice. In order to be considered for pointe, the student must be at least 13 years of age (or, upon examination of applicable physiological factors by the Directrice, deemed to be adequately mature) and have at least 3-5 years of ballet experience. In the best interest of the student, specific tests for pointe readiness may be required prior to approval for pointe.
Anyone meeting these requirements will be required to see the Directrice to take at least two classes a week. No exceptions.
These classes are for the intermediate to advanced, serious minded ballet dancer, and enrollment must be approved by the Directrice. The class will spend extra time working on the specific execution of ballet exercises. It will be a very intense class so please be sure your dancer is prepared for the training involved. This class is a pre-requisite for any young student wishing to one day be a part of the Young Xpressions, Junior Xpressions or Xpressions in Motion dance companies. (participation in this class does not guarantee a position in the Dance Company)

This fun class introduces young dancers to jazz style tap. The class begins with a basic upbeat jazz warm-up, stretches and jazz combinations, and then we will move into tap shoes and learn the fundamentals and rhythms in tap combinations with a jazzier style.
Designed for intermediate dancers, these classes build upon the fundamentals of jazz tap form, technique and vocabulary. Students will focus on developing rhythm and expression through tap.

This class is the young student's introduction to hip hop dance. This upbeat class begins with center warm-up and stretches and moves to combinations both across the floor and in the center. Moving to upbeat music, students will develop flexibility, strength, and coordination.

Homeschool classes are held during the day for the convenience of homeschooling families. The homeschool program may be customized to meet the needs and ages of those enrolled. Although dance technique and form are taught, special instruction is provided on the history of dance, dance vocabulary and dance styles from around the world.
All classes may not necessarily be offered each session. Class offerings will be based upon student interest and aptitude in the current session.
The required minimum number of students enrolled in most classes is 4. The maximum number of students enrolled in most classes is 12 for students ages 10+, and 14 for those younger than 10.
We emphasize proper dance technique and progression in all of our dance classes so that our beginner through advanced students may dance for a lifetime. Placement in classes is based upon the teacher’s and/or Directrice’s assessment of student maturity, experience, and ability. Teachers provide each student with a Recommended Placement at the end of the Spring Session. Recommended Placements are made with the best interest of the student and his/her personal development in mind. Students will be required to master one level before moving to the next.
